Right so the existence of deviant Art returned to my thoughts tonight. I logged in for the first time in nearly a year. Some seriously embarrassing stuff is here so I'll eliminate it, and upload better work.
I'm in 4th year in sculpture now. My last journal was two years ago to the month and thus I was in 2nd.

So I've now been six weeks in the second year of my degree in Sculpture. It's been quite good educationally. We've learned different methods of drawing, technical drawing, woodwork and metalwork (yeah welding!)
We got four newbies in my class of 15 people. They're pretty cool. I like my group quite a lot. Their main flaw is that they have very little curiosity, or interest in socialising with people other than our classmates. It's like parochial xenophobia. They're good craic though, even if excessively female.

Group Exhibition for Swimmingpool

I, Ian, and eighteen other young artists are having an exhibition in Dublin!
Two months in the making, we will showcase our latest work between Wednesday 16th and Saturday 19th August. The gallery is the famous Filmbase on Curved Street in Temple Bar, in Dublin's south city centre.
For those of you outside Ireland, I will photograph my work and put it up here soon.

Dublin City Council is to introduce a ban on eleven breeds of dog from properties including houses, flats and estates, with immediate effect.
The breeds are: English Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Doberman, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Japanese Akita, Bull Mastiff, Japanese Tosa and Bandog. Cross-breeds of these dogs or crosses of these dogs with any other breed are also banned.
Owners will be given the opportunity to rehouse the dogs but if alternative accommodation cannot be found for they will be destroyed.

please take the time to sign the petition and read ANVIL's website for updates. This is discrimination against council tenants as well as any responsible owner of one of these breeds.
